Summer Camps Schedules

RIFAC/EAST BAY, Warren

Half-Day Camp for Beginners

Session 1: June 16-20, 2008

Time: Mon-Fri 9 AM-12 PM

Session 2: August 18-22, 2008
Time: Mon-Fri 1 PM -4 PM
Ages: Recommended for children ages 8-14.
Cost: $175

Half-Day Camp for Experienced Fencers

Session 3: August 25-29, 2008

Time: Mon-Fri 9 AM - 12 PM

Ages: Recommended for children ages 8-14.

Cost: $175

Full Day Camp for Beginners, Experienced and Competitive Fencers
Session 4: July 14-18, 2008


Session 5: July 21-25, 2008

Session 6: August 11-15, 2008


Times: Mon-Fri 9 AM-4 PM
(early drop-off at 8:30AM and late pick-up until 5:30PM at no extra charge)
Ages: Recommended for children ages 8-14.
Cost: $325 for one session, $550 for two, $750 for three

RIFAC/West Bay, Warwick

Half-Day Camp for Beginner Fencers             Session A: June 23-27, 2008

Session B: July 28-August 1, 2008

Session C: August 4-8. 2008  

         
Times: Mon-Fri 9 AM-12 PM
Ages: Recommended for children ages 8-14.
Cost: $175 for one session, $300 for two

Half-Day Camp for Experienced Fencers

Session D: July 28-August 1, 2008

Session E: August 4-8, 2008


Times: Mon-Fri 1-4 PM
Ages: Recommended for children ages 8-14.
Cost: $175 for one session, $300 for two


Sample FULL-DAY Camp Itinerary
All students should arrive at least 15 minutes early each day for camp.

Morning Session

9-10am Warm-up, Footwork, Games
10-11am Workshops/ Bladework
11-12pm Structured Bouting

Lunch
12-1pm Fencing Movie

Afternoon Session

2-2:30pm Bladework
2:30-3:30pm Open fencing/ tournament practice
3:30-4pm Cool down/stretching, Clean-up

Friday each week is Tournament Day!

Morning Session (9am-12pm):Team Events
Afternoon Session (1pm-4pm):Individual Events

A tournament exhibition will be held for parents on the Friday afternoon session of each camp.
Medals and camp completion certificates will be awarded at the end of the tournament.

Grandparents and cameras are welcome at that time! More details will be provided at the start of each camp.
